Fits perfectly but a few issues

This tailgate handle for my Ford Ranger is a perfect match for the original all metal. On the other hand, the original 14 years of use since my 2005 truck has fallen away. So I think everything will be ok. It was harder to install than I thought it would be, but it's not. the handle is to blame, but the thoughtful installation of the tailgate. It doesn't come with instructions so I had to watch videos online and it took me a while to figure out where the little buffer plate went when the…

Very easy to install.

Very easy to install. Fits perfectly. I saved over $100 by installing it myself in about 20 minutes. Looks, feels and performs like the original. There are no instructions, but basically unscrew the two screws, pull out the old handle and put in the new one.

As good as original if not better

This is the second time my 2007 Mazda B2300 (Ford Ranger) has had a tailgate handle that has broken. Replacement is not difficult, and the price is quite reasonable. If it's not EOM, then at least as good as EOM, if not better. Note to self, keep the latches lubricated.

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • Useless features

It's cheap with good quality

Update: The replacement order seems fine but I would be very careful with it. The metal looks rather weak. This product had one of the bolts cut off when I installed it. It works, but most likely not for long. Others may have had better luck, but right now I'm not overly impressed.

Pros
  • Body and Fairing
Cons
  • Vulgarity

It fits and works well.

Installation was easy. However, you will need a torx bit to remove the rear door inspection/access panel. Fortunately the tailgate (on my Ford Ranger) does not need to be lowered to be replaced as the handle is broken and the tailgate cannot be lowered until the handle is replaced. You will also need a 10mm deep socket and extension and of course a ratchet. I didn't give it five stars because I'm not sure the quality was better than the cheap one that costs half the price.

Pros
  • Outside door handles
Cons
  • Good for the most part, but...
