They have provided you with drilled pieces of wood so you can put them between long boards with no pins, as well as wider boards with 5 pins so you can make round pieces. I've been using round plastic looms for years but wanted to upgrade to something more sophisticated. This board is awesome. The pins are a small size which is perfect for making things that require a smaller size such as socks, things for babies, small animals, etc. The board is extremely versatile, from huge blankets to tiny tubes, literally anything is possible this. Device! If you are used to using plastic looms, it will take time to get used to the smaller pins with less pronounced grooves.
