"Smooth ride with enhanced durability.

The Auto Extra Mevotech joint greatly improved the performance of my car's suspension system. The ride was much smoother and the handling more responsive. The enhanced durability of this product ensured that it was long-lasting and reliable. However, the installation was a bit challenging, requiring some technical knowledge and experience with automotive equipment. Overall, I highly recommend the Auto Extra Mevotech joint for anyone looking to improve their vehicle's suspension.

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting for reliable performance.
Cons
  • Pricier compared to other similar products on the market.

Good quality with durable grease sleeve

Just installed a side on my GMC 4x4 today, seems a good quality part. The boots are way better than many of the ones I've seen, way better than the new Moog design and the price is better. The factory ball joints lasted 70,000 miles, pretty crappy life for an OEM. The second side is installed, the ball joint is well pressed and fits well into the control arm, just like the first side. Mevotech says they all have a metal bearing, so with the occasional lubrication, life should be pretty good.

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Boot breaks easily, shrinks over time

The boot on this ball joint and my best Mevotech ball joint has shrunk in size in just 7,000 miles. As a result, they don't cover the ball joint area as well as new ones and don't seal as well. Also the LCA ball joint boot breaks very easily. They both suddenly get micro cuts and all the lube I poured pours out of them. These boots are meant to be flexible and durable, and I swear the companies keep making them cheaper and crappy. This must be stopped. Now I have to do all the work of changing…

  • Ball Joints
