Works perfectly! in cooler

Works great! I installed a thermal switch from "spal" that works fine. I cut the smaller OD off the ends with a hacksaw since my radiator hose has a larger OD.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Frequency

Simply cut the ends to shorten and install the block.

This was exactly what I needed to complete the setup of my new electric fan, just snip the ends to shorten the assembly and use 1 1/4"- to install hoses.

Pros
  • Belts, hoses and pulleys
Cons
  • Good but not great

PERFECT! for cooler

Just what I need to install the GM fan switch. Other similar devices use a very small connector and you have to use expensive or hard to get temp/fan switches. This works great with the standard size GM hose from the 80's.

Pros
  • spare parts
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

3/8 " NPT sensor restricts but works.

I have a 1 1/4" hose and this assembly is narrowed for a 1" hose after the 3/8" "sensor assembly installed in NPT looked very limited. My truck is running and not overheating yet. I have to take my trailer up a big hill in 100 degree weather to see if this restriction is causing the problem or not. If you need a quick fix this works and is built very nicely. Smaller temp sensors probably won't be a problem, but mine is 3/8" NPT and covers most of the hole.

Pros
  • Hoses
Cons
  • Negative present
