Not the same length for 2008 Chrysler T&C

Oil dipstick length approximately 2+ inches longer than the original MOPAR dipstick that works with my car. I had to change the entire end product - I had to rotate the pen at the top and end, I had to measure the original against it and cut off the excess, and I had to make a curved corner where the fill area sketch was marking should have been. Otherwise, it fits into the tube and holds its place.

Be sure to compare the depth markings with the original

The dipstick was slightly longer (1.25 inches) than the original. It fitted well and didn't cut through, but the low to full notes were also at the wrong depth. Had I not noticed this and thrown out the old dipstick beforehand, I would have always been at a lower level than necessary and probably endangered the life of my already old engine. Luckily I spotted the mistake and marked the dipstick where it should have been. It could be bad and I would have returned it, but I needed a part to sealโ€ฆ

Simple tool. Few things could be wrong or bad.

Used on Chrysler 2008 t&c. This did the job, it came with a paper chart to see what fluid level should be at transfer temp which I used to scan to measure transfer temp. It is about 3 feet long and is meant to fit all the different aisles. With the car running, insert the dipstick all the way in, then pull it out and read the fluid. Some of them will stand out, and that's the way it should be. When you're done, put the plastic lid on and store it somewhere else.
