Power Stop KOE1233 Autospecialty Front Brake Kit - OE Replacement Rotors & Ceramic Pads Review

My OEM rotors have been warping for years so I've finally decided to replace them. Was nervous that they might not be as durable as the OEM models. I have followed the instructions. I've had them on my 4Runner for a few months now and can't get enough of them. Smooth as butter.

With this set on my 01 Tacoma the feeling of breaking is great. Ceramic pedals are much cleaner (no dust) on my wheels. I took off a star because the new rotor looked thinner and lighter than the old one, so my guess is it probably won't last as long as the old one.

Brakes were good and correct size, rotors looked ok and most likely would if they sent the correct brakes for my 4 runner. Now I have a new set of washers that don't fit my four Toyota 4-Runners that I own! I think they will make expensive anchors for boats :(

Discs and pads look good. But once you drive after everything is set you will be so crazy. These rotors are severely deformed. My truck was shaking so much under braking and the front end was vibrating a lot. Don't waste money on them.

Installed these pads and discs on a 2001 4Runner SR5. The brakes were easy to install. Just look for the wear indicators on the pads you are removing. The inner and outer pads are different. Brakes wear out well and quickly. Almost immediately there was a great first bite. They are quiet and smooth and stop evenly.

I ordered this brake kit for my 2002 4runner as Amazon said it was compatible with my car. The truth is these brakes were made for civilian vehicles. The rotors were tiny compared to the original rotors and when I started to brake the brakes started smoking and I felt like I was stepping on a sponge. Don `t save. Rather spend a few euros more and invest in a good set.

Nice to have the kit. Comes with everything except new brake pins. Easy installation. Rotors appear to be thinner than OEM. The deck design is slightly different. There was a small defect on the retaining wire, which is why I reused the old one. The kit also included finger grease. Follow the procedure on the pad box and you'll be fine. Time will tell about the durability.
