Always read the instructions

I took it out of the box, saw several known connectors and said I could connect it, no problem. So I plugged in the optical cable at both ends, turned on the box, plugged in the headphones, and hit the play button. Nothing. Checked my connections, nothing. I checked and changed all the sound settings on the TV, nothing. Headphones and box switched on and off. I was ready to be angry. Then I saw the manual lying there and decided to read it. Literally fifteen seconds later I was on my feet. If I

Good but not perfect

I like this transmitter more than the nameless one I had before because it connects and reconnects fairly easily and quickly. But I do not like it. I have to go to the back of the TV and hold the power button to turn it on every time I want to use my headphones. I plugged it into an always-on USB port for power, so I want it to be always on and ready to pair. Ergonomics are awkward because every part of the top surface is a button or another. When I try to turn it on or adjust the volume, I…

Works as it should. Watch the video!

Rating based on optical out setup and pairing of some Jaybird headphones. Watch the setup video to understand the switch, interconnect, and TV setup requirements. The first pairing with my Jaybirds took about 3 attempts, but when I unplugged them, turned on the device, and then turned them on and they instantly connected in pairing mode, holding them close to the device didn't speed up the process. Reconnecting was automatic, but takes about 30 seconds. The device turns off after a while, so be

The item is useless if you use it with a TV

I bought this to set up two headsets using the optical output. Obviously everything was connected and hidden behind the TV, so it wasn't an eyesore. I connected it to USB power so it always has power. After installation it worked perfectly, but not the next day. I had to manually hide behind the TV and turn it back on. I did this for three days and it got really annoying. In the event that something was set up incorrectly, I contacted the company to inquire about this issue and how I can set it

Great little device to enhance my viewing experience!

I have a couple of small Bluetooth receivers/transmitters. When used solely for music, they sound great on their own. However, when I use them with my TV they still sound great, but there is a noticeable timing issue. From time to time I like to watch TV (especially live football!) through the surround speakers. Connecting a cable directly between my TV and speakers creates a bit of a mess, and my TV doesn't natively support Bluetooth. Using my existing equipment didn't help as the audio was…

I had a Taotronics transmitter that worked great with my Avantree Audition headphones for 2 years. The Taotronics transmitter recently died, so I was thinking about trying the Avantree transmitter. I immediately noticed that the audio was so distorted that I could barely hear what people were saying. It almost sounded like heavy noise mixed with distortion. I found that after syncing the second headset, the issue was resolved even after disconnecting the second headset. Bluetooth headphones…

Easy to install and great sound sync

First off I have quite a complicated setup which gives me more reasons to use this transmitter. In one of the photos you can see an HDMI splitter that also has RCA connectors. and Optical connectors for audio output options. The goal was to route the signal from the splitter (which also connects to my projector) to the LaguLake soundbar, a 2.1 channel TV soundbar system across the room (see photo). Prior to the Avantree device, I used a similar Tao device that was a few years old and decided to

Unfortunately, that transmitter was giving me such a headache. but we have a happy ending, read on. OLD DEVICE (same list) I couldn't get any sound from the TV using this channel, even though the device said it was connected. I've tried plugging this into various headphones including Mpow and Sony WH100XM2 headphones. Every attempt was unsuccessful and the sound never connected, not once. I tried this on a non-smart TV that had the appropriate sockets on the back of the TV. Here are the steps I
