My only suggestion is to put it in the dishwasher cut side down so the water doesn't get trapped. The green part should be on top because water cannot penetrate this area. Otherwise a fantastic purchase!

We bought this food slicer after another previous purchase that didn't work properly. The round piece of metal that scrapes the avocado is surprisingly thin, which is a big plus. Our other was plastic and too thick, so removing it only damaged the avocado. This metal easily removes flesh. I didn't use the smaller side to remove the core as I usually use a knife, cut it in half once and twist it like a screw to remove it. Hit the hole on the edge of the trash can and it will fly away.
