I love the box. It's solid and the perfect size for what I need. Wooden lid is inexpensive. It does not offer airtightness and is made of soft wood, so it cannot be used as a cutting board.

This bread bin is large and I like the way it looks, seems to keep the bread pretty fresh for the time it was in. One of the downsides for me would be that the lid comes off completely. I should have noticed that before I bought it, but I didn't. I don't like that it isn't foldable.

Sigh. It's one of those products that you buy and think it's going to be great, and then you're disappointed. Too bad I didn't read the other reviews before purchasing this item. The lid doesn't even fully cover the jar and is made of terribly cheap wood. The tin is nice and a good breadbox size, but with such a terrible lid it makes absolutely no sense. Please do not buy, I do not recommend it.

Delivered quickly, quite large, simple functional design 3 stars because the lid is deformed and doesn't close properly so the "freshness" aspect is basically lost. Dubbed the "cutting board," the wood on the lid is functional, but the wood is significantly rougher than what you would need for a cutting board. If you're trying to save a few bucks, this works. If you want to impress, look elsewhere

I am giving this product two stars because it is a box of the advertised size and therefore it serves its purpose. But the quality is terrible. The "bread" is pain smeared and the lid is ugly and unfinished. I plan on sanding it and maybe painting it because it looks like I'll get a splinter when I open it, and if there's moisture it'll probably go moldy. Loved seeing it online, but in person it's very disappointing.

Yes, the lid is a bit difficult to put on, but if you hit all the corners with it you can sometimes get it on tighter. Anyway, for those wondering if you can remove the words YES YOU CAN! You can remove them with acetone (I just bought it at the drug store). I put some on a cotton swab and applied it to the letters until they were covered.
