What can you say about the replacement lamp for the projector. Either it works or it doesn't work. This time we tried not to touch it with our bare hands. The last lamp only lasted a year.

Installed in optoma projector. It was easy to install as it was plug and play. The reason for the 2 stars is that the bulb gets very hot in a very short time which causes the fan on the projector to turn on and stay on. And since the fan is pretty loud, that's a bit annoying.

I have an Optoma HD141X, my original lamp exploded inside while working. Changing the bulb took 15 minutes, less than the recommended hours of use, but the cooling fan inlet was clogged, which could result in overheating. I checked the label on the replacement lamp and was surprised to see that it was an identical replacement lamp.

Perfect! Remember this is a bulb only and not a complete housing replacement. This means you have to open the existing case to swap out the old bulb, which requires the use of 8 extra screws (at least on my Optoma projector model). If you are afraid of screws, be sure to buy one with a full body. Then you only have to fiddle around with 2 instead of 10 screws. But if you know your way around a screwdriver above level 5, that's quite a lot. Looks great!

I drove 3500 hours with the factory on my 141x, the bulb burned out 2 days ago. Luckily I bought it a few months ago because I expected my factory to collapse at any moment. Very happy with the new bulb. With this bulb, the colors are brighter and more saturated than my factory bulb. I just hope this pear lasts as long. When my factory collapsed, it collapsed.
