Good insect cage for kids

Well designed, didn't look cheap. Keeps an earthworm here with some soil, but it still managed to crawl through the holes in the lid and committed suicide on our kitchen floor. I don't know how this all happened, so be careful. The worm was about 4 inches long and quite thin. I will continue to use.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Negative impression

Third Beast Hut!

My twins love their pet houses so much we decided to buy their 7 year old friend a third one for his birthday. This is great for collecting worms and various bugs and then releasing them. We have a lot of praying manta rays in the spring so the guys will have a blast picking one, making a little habitat out of leaves and then releasing them over the course of a day or two.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Only available in white

Great for kids! on Science Kits & Toys

This year we started keeping a nature journal at home and it has been so much fun using this little house! Lizards, frogs, bugs, no butterflies (we thought he was too small and didn't want them to feel trapped) and no ants because Florida's red ants are the devil. But this "cabin" gave us the opportunity to add more detail to our drawings and paintings instead of just using our memory. It was a learning curve for us to pull this cover up quickly, but it's worth the squeaks and laughs. Even if…

Durable, great gift

This insect cage is perfect for my 4 and 6 year old girls. They've always had a bit of a fear of living beings, but that motivated them to be backyard explorers, catching caterpillars, centipedes and frogs to name a few. The product itself is very durable and can withstand repeated falls on the concrete floor. Clear plastic walls are good because they allow for an easy look inside, and they can also be filled with a small amount of water, which wire cages don't allow. The lid stays tightly…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥

  • Hard to say

This is an amazing product at a great price. I LOVE IT!

I can't believe how good this pet house is for the price! I absolutely LOVE it! I made it so that if I find a special caterpillar (currently a giant leopard moth caterpillar) I can watch it transform into a moth, but I'll find other uses for the little critters. It's also perfect for kids to enjoy things like crickets and fireflies! Contrary to the close-up, the holes in the top are actually pretty small and I don't even think a firefly could fit through them! It would also be nice if they…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
