I am new to vacuum degassing. I did a little research on the products and decided to install Bacoeng. I originally wanted to get a smaller camera but decided to spend a little more for the 1.5 gallon size. I'm glad I did. It fits in a decent container or several small degassing containers, and the pressure gauge on the side leaves the glass surface free to watch the process. I bought this chamber to use for freeze drying which requires a vacuum of around 200 microns. Unfortunately, there are a few unfortunate design decisions that prevent this chamber from reaching this pressure. First, the chamber uses a bulkhead fitting that goes through a hole in the side of the chamber.
