For my purposes, this works great. Increases/maintains surface contact between smashburgers and pork chops on the grill pan. The round shape is good, the diameter is good, the weight is good, the wood-free grip is good, and the groove-free surface makes it easy to clean. I chose this model mainly for these 5 reasons, but I also love the pig design.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Contemporary

Bigger press.

I really like this press, it's big and most importantly smooth from the side of the press (better for shredding burgers). The only issue I have with this is that unlike her abs, I have a grip that heats up very quickly. The coil on it doesn't hold heat for some reason. I still have one with a wooden handle and one with a spiral handle, and they both stay cold enough to touch. This still convinces with quality and functionality.

Pros
  • fingers crossed
Cons
  • piggy bank price

It's BACON!: Grills & Outdoor Cooking

My husband LOVES this. He uses it every chance he gets. Pretty soon we're both going to have our first heart attacks. I've never liked bacon with those greasy curls. Pooh. But with this bacon press (it looks like a PIG!) I eat every bite of that flattened bacon because it tastes so good. If you haven't tried bacon made with a bacon press, do it! And if you haven't eaten chilled bacon before, try it after cooking! My husband loves this bacon because it's round and perfect for our raised skillet.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Older model

Made in China, a little small (my fault) but I like the pig design

I thought it was a cool pig design and bought it. I didn't know it was made in China, but there are American ones at Revain for about the same price. Sorry American worker - I'm usually more meticulous. (I'd like to see Revain list the place of manufacture on all items and make it searchable) It works, but it's too low for me. Also, I can't put a lid/strainer on it when using it, and because it's not big enough to cover the bacon, the grease still splatters. I would need another to fit a 10-11…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Expensive

Works great - but - nose, legs and ears! Will NOT fit in an 8 " skillet!

Always wanted a bacon press and it was a good price. Many presses are rectangular in shape and are designed to cook food on a medium sized grill. liked: - Thick handle ( heat shield) so you can grab the press when it's hot - Screw connection design so you can clean it very easily - 8" round shape so it fits in my 8" pans which is usually what a person cooks for problem is that the abs don't fit in an 8" pan because of the legs, nose and ears. like on the grill. But - that's kind of a design…

It's cute and works well.

Pretty and works well. The flat bottom is perfect for what I wanted and for some reason it's hard to find on one of these. Some people complain about loose screws. You have to understand that this is not bad. Proper seasoning requires removing the handle to allow the oil and heat to penetrate this part of the cast iron. Loose screws will only make it easier to remove the handle for it, and when the seasoning is done, screw them tight. If you season this thing properly the first time and care…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it says
