Baldwin PF9870 Fuel Filter Review

filter fits my 2011 Dodge 2500 6.7 Cummings diesel engine. But without an additional sealing ring with filter. I have used Baldwin products on all of my vehicles and farm equipment.

I bought this filter for my 6.7 liter Dodge diesel truck. Not only is it cheaper than the original filter, it is also of higher quality and has a better filter performance (5 microns). I will buy them from now on.

Very quick work and fits perfectly with OEM body. Just make sure you have something to catch poor quality fuel, use the included o-ring and heed the advice not to put fuel in the filter housing. Follow the fuel system instructions for "priming” the fuel system and check for leaks after installation.

this filter filters down to 2 microns frame filters go up to 5 or 6 if i can get the finer particles into my fuel injectors on the truck they last much longer. A small slot in the top of the filter makes it easy to remove with pliers. I usually buy these filters in bulk.

I've always liked Baldwin filters. I think these are great filters. I've driven many miles on diesel trucks with Baldwin filters. But the last one I ordered from Revain, the new o-ring was a lot smaller than what was on the truck as shown in the pictures. I didn't pay attention to that when changing the filter and it cost me a lot of time and money for a mechanic. The thing is, it wasn't leaked initially.
