Perhaps the best shorts of their kind listed on Revain

Why pay more? These are the perfect shorts for any mission or activity. Lightweight, breathable 3 pockets, one with zip. I really don't understand why anyone would buy shorts with no pockets. Most need at least one for cell phone and keys. A zippered pocket ensures security. I'll never understand why anyone needs knee-length or even below-the-knee shorts. Can anyone explain to me?

Great performance at a great price

Context: Avid runner, occasional rider of 30+ miles per week. I have a lot of shorts but I'm always on the lookout for great deals to change out when others have worn out. Pros: great price, good pockets (hard to find discounts on shorts with good pockets), no frills basic. Design Cons: The liner seems to be too big and clumps a bit. It didn't cause any real problems on shorter mid-day runs (typically 4-6 miles, <1 hour), but I don't think I ever intentionally stretched them for longer runs.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I don't really like anything, everything is just great

Pretty but they go up in price first

These are the cheapest shorts I've seen with a zip pocket at the back. They hold up well and I love the army green color. My only issue is that they ride up in the front, creating a kind of wedge in the crotch and exposing the inner thighs. After a quarter mile I tend to forget it. Now that I'm looking at some photos from the last race, maybe it's just that I'm starting to run with rubbing thighs? And once I'm warmed up, will I spread my legs? [that's what she said.] All right. So I love the length

So I ordered these plus a 7 inch pair because most training shorts are insanely expensive. Sevens seemed too long to me, but these are just right. So I like the length, I like the feel of the fabric and the price is much nicer. However, they are a bit oddly cut, the pelvic area below the waist feels larger than my other shorts, and they tend to bunch up when sitting. Second, the leg opening width seems wider than other shorts, not by much, but they are slightly flared and really want to go upโ€ฆ

Great quality, great price. Why pay more.

I'm impressed. I really hate spending big bucks on running gear, but it's important to invest in quality gear. $40 for big brand running shorts? Serious? This is good stuff. I especially like the back zip pocket. It's actually big enough to hold something as big as today's cell phones. I read a few reviews about a large elastic waste band. It's a little bigger than some of the big brands, but that's not a problem for me. The fit is just perfect, love it. I will definitely consider the Baleafโ€ฆ

Great versatile shorts!

Let me start by saying that I am a keen outdoor enthusiast and my main hobby is long distance running. However, I have running shorts from all the big brands. These shorts from Baleaf can match, if not surpass, the performance of more expensive brands in almost every area. Details: Runs true to size, the lining offers just enough support but isn't too tight or too itchy (perfect material), they wick well, they have stretch and they have a back zip pocket! Trust me I did my research and spentโ€ฆ

Good quality and looks

They fit almost as expected. I used to have problems with it, but it was good. In any case, they can be slightly smaller than the smaller size, so if you are in doubt between two sizes, you can go for the larger size, but that's just a little. The material feels great when worn and also in terms of haptics/quality. Good size pockets. If there is any criticism I would say it relates to the liner - I don't think it's particularly supportive. For me these shorts are fine if you wear them normallyโ€ฆ

What I wanted to say about my new shorts from: BALEAF

Hello everyone. I'm a 70 year old woman (I'm not Steve. I'm married to Steve). I play tennis three times a week, am strong, not huge, but 20 pounds overweight. I can't fit into the women's XL clothing they sell at Dicks. Academy etc. I have given up shopping there. Shame on them they never wore 2X for women. I mostly play tennis with married men, so I'll never wear a little skirt that flashes your AQQ every time you bend down to pick up the ball. (Girls, don't be naive. It's not normal.) So I'm

lightweight and very comfortable

When researching running shorts, I came across recommendations from Revain. Brand name doesn't matter to me as long as it has side pockets, an extra zip pocket and quality/comfort. Certainly within budget. After researching this brand/company, this is a fairly new company making athletic wear from California. I decided to give it a try. Here's my fit breakdown - as expected I'm 5'9, 190lbs and waist 36. The large sizing was spot on with enough room to save where it's not too baggy/looseโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
