Padded shorts are hard to find in stores. The big shorts in this size fit the same as other brands of lined shorts I have. Even though I had never heard of the Baleaf brand before ordering, the quality of the shorts is on par with the more expensive shorts. Wide range of colors to choose from.

I don't run anymore so I need shorts with pockets and they fit and are very comfortable. According to their size chart I should be XL but L fits me. A key pocket would be a great addition as my key sometimes falls out of my pocket when I'm exercising on the floor. They wash well, dry quickly and don't shrink even if I accidentally put them in the dryer.

Looks like good shorts; However, the back zip pocket is right in the middle of the shorts. Hard to reach either left or right. When I put something in this bag, it irritates my lower spine a lot. Not a great place to stay. I don't know if they were trying to find a right-handed/left-handed compromise or what, but it doesn't work for me at all. I'm sending them back today.

Balaclava a little uncomfortable and has an uncomfortable fit. Wearing shorts below your navel may be okay. I usually wear closer to my natural waist and this is an instant wedge. I've tried several other brands (C9, Asics) of lined shorts and this is probably my least favorite. I'll probably stick with boxer shorts. This is very bad because the pockets are good and the colors are crisp. If they fit you better than me, the construction is solid and you might like them.

I ordered medium sized orange shorts. I'm 5 feet 11 inches and 184 pounds. I wear 32" pants/shorts. They still felt a little snug but I think I could handle that. I really liked the feel of the material and the shorts were quite light. However, I had to return them as that Material was SEEN. The thin fabric was see through and the dark gray lining makes it look like you're wearing granny panties under the shorts. Not something I'd like to wear to the gym. I usually run 15-21km a few times a week and they are great for my warm weather runs. They've incorporated mesh underwear that can compress dirt a bit at times, but it keeps everything in place well. Despite sweating so profusely that my shoes got wet, I never felt that these shorts weighed me down by holding water. The zippered back pocket holds my house keys while I run.
