Barfly M37023 Aluminum Juicer Review

This item is not dishwasher safe. It is covered in a black powder that cannot be washed off. It comes on all your hands, it comes on the juice. I am very disappointed in this juicer. It's also only really good for limes, it doesn't work for anything else.

I was very happy to find a dishwasher safe juicer but unfortunately this thing is covered in a fine dark powder that cannot be washed off but will wash out with juice. First washed in the dishwasher, then again by hand, dried with kitchen paper, darkened.

The first thing you notice is how beautiful, big, heavy and stocky it is. The handles are angular, which could bother some in practice. The bowl itself is shallow (1" deep, 2 3/8" wide). Definitely aluminum, so DO NOT put it in the dishwasher or put it in soapy water to wash dishes. Dry and clean well.

This item has everything you need at a very great price. It's reliable, effective and fashionable. However, the material used (cast aluminum) discolours immediately in the dishwasher. Because of this, I switched to a more dishwasher-friendly model.

Works great but had to throw it away after my wife put it in the dishwasher. The black film I washed and washed continued to stay in place so I just tossed and ordered a dishwasher safe. Apart from the hand wash, the device has worked great and is very durable. All the downsides of this product are that it cannot be washed in the dishwasher.

When I first bought this I always thought that if I squeeze limes in this thing it won't squirt out the sides and all over. God I was wrong! It is literally uncluttered and easy to use. I've only used it for lemons and limes, but it makes juicing easy and leaves the puck-shaped fruit to dispose of. Will be a staple of my bar cart for years to come!

I love this powerful citrus press. It works well and looks great. Yes. I read reviews about the finish. For those of you who put an item in the dishwasher, you don't deserve that kind of quality. I expect the beautiful glossy finish will eventually fade and I'm looking forward to it. When I first saw this press/juicer it looked worn from years of use. That's what attracted me to the press. Don't worry so much about looks anymore, this is a great tool in the kitchen.

Pros: Easy to clean, does the job. It's a juicer, what more can I say? Cons: The bowl/cavity is quite shallow which can make it difficult to grip the handles if you have small hands like mine as the fruit pushes the handles so far apart. Since the handles have such hard edges (which is odd considering all other juicers I've used have rounded handles), it makes using the juicer quite awkward as you're forced to wrap your hand around the edges to press. bad juicer but some design improvements…
