    Great little Emergency Power Out Lantern

    I bought two of these lanterns to use around the home when we have a power outage. I also bought some LED bulbs to use instead of the energy guzzling car bulbs. LED bulbs put out about 190 lumens, which is roughly equivalent to a 25 watt incandescent bulb, and they use very little power. The low power consumption allows me to keep the lights on all night without worrying about battery drain and they are much safer to use than liquid fuel candles and lanterns.     Very good light, seriously! I was impressed.

    I read all the other good reviews of this light and hoped it would live up to those expectations on arrival and it did. I'm impressed with the overall design and composition of the lamp. The lens and body are light but strong and really well made considering the weight of the materials used. It has a good lamp socket and switch.     Not Impressed - Power & Electrical

    Works at least, but I'm not impressed at all, particularly the optics. There is nothing reflective around the lamp to direct the light forward rather than heating up the back and sides of the lamp. Something cheap and simple like spray chrome painting will work but instead you will be wasting light and heat nowhere. The odd shape of the lens obviously has SOMETHING to do with it, but I can't tell you what. The cap doesn't emit light much differently than the cap that's removed. Waste of time…

    Good light but limitations

    I needed light in the electrical closet of a converted bus/RV I'm staying in as I was upgrading by installing an additional solar power system. I wanted to be able to see all the components clearly and needed an extra light source for the initial setup and also later when I wanted to check things. This light fits.
