Basil Bloom Large Ding Dong Bicycle Bell - 3 Inches Review

Love my bell. I also call when I'm driving all alone. I may look crazy, but hey, what can I say? I like my bell very much :) By the way, my bell came with a defect. This means the bell didn't ring clearly because the two metal sides were placed too close together. However, my husband is a jack of all trades and was able to build/change/repair it without much effort.

My Basil Bell broke when I put it on the bike (brackets weren't soldered properly to the bottom of the bell). Received it as a gift and didn't send it back under the Revains return policy as my bike was stolen in the meantime so I couldn't call anything. Anyway I had the same bell a few years ago and it was a decent bell but the colors faded very quickly. I will no longer order Basil Bell.

This bell is MUCH bigger than I thought it would be. It's about the size of a large English muffin or old-fashioned donut, which is HUGE for a bike bell. For that reason alone, I probably wouldn't buy it again. It's incredibly loud with a doorbell-like ring (so similar that when I tried it, my dog barked and ran to the door) and nothing like a traditional bike bell.
