Works great - easy to turn on and off!

We have had this basket for a year now and it is perfect for our 8kg Shih Tzu. She loves to sit, ride and watch. After the initial assembly, the basket can be easily removed and placed on the bike - just click on the lock! In addition, there is an outer pocket that is perfect for our foldable water plate. I don't remember having any major problems installing it. Simply bolt the mount to the bike and add adjustments for a tight fit if necessary. Once it was enabled I didn't have to configure it…

Danger: bracket fails without warning, dog and basket fall to the ground.

I have two of these baskets, one on my bike and one on my wife. Was completely satisfied until recently when, after two years of use, the basket's bracket suddenly failed while driving, causing the basket and my dog to fall to the ground without warning. Luckily the dog wasn't hurt, but it could have been fatal for the pup. The specific broken part was a pair of plastic tabs sticking up and attached to the underside of the basket's aluminum frame. Both "tongues" broke with no sign of weakening.

Long lasting once you attach it properly. INSTRUCTIONS?

My BIG gripe is the lack of instructions. When I received the carrier I opened it up to find the required assembly. No problem, right? NOT CORRECT! I'm pretty good at everything and that's the only reason I've been able to install it properly on my bike. IT WAS NOT INSTRUCTIONS! There are small pieces that can be used to fill in the extra space between the handles and the basket attachment piece. If you've never worn one of these that I haven't, it's going to take you some time to figure it all
