Good with a mod

Bought this to replace the one that came with the controller as it failed for about 2 years. Silicone is added at the end to prevent this from happening again when submerged in water.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • So far so good

The new probe fixed my Willy bug.

Not the best design BUT well made! Very satisfied. My WillHi thermostat was very faulty. I thought the block burned out. I bought this and replaced the thermal sensor, it worked great and the device is fine! The sensor was just damaged. Again, I wish the sensor was a little better built and stronger, but it certainly performed well.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • No power

Not suitable for saltwater aquariums

and tried it out in the saltwater aquarium. It won't work, it will rust in a few days and give false readings. If you need a saltwater aquarium temperature controller, make sure the probe is covered with rubber or titanium. I'm sure it's great for other uses, but 2 stars for saltwater aquariums.

Pros
  • I don't like the practical item
Cons
  • that much, bought everything with a thermostat

A small metal probe that works great.

This is the second time I have bought this thermistor probe. The first one I bought was damaged when moving my lab equipment. The tip is about 1/8" in diameter and about 3/4" long, smaller compared to other gauges I've looked at online. I use it to control the body temperature of rats (rectally). The 1/8" plug fits securely into my thermostat. Very happy with this sensor. Also, it was delivered within a day or two of ordering (my other paper mail.) Happy customer here, thanks!

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

They work great when they work

I had to purchase this probe to replace a brand new Bailite probe that came with the temperature controller. Luckily I had another baileite thermostat and was able to determine that the new thermostat was faulty due to a bad sensor. Called Revain and they credited me enough to buy this replacement probe. So if you were delivered a faulty thermostat, it could just be a bad sensor.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Very expensive

I do not recommend. Died 4 months later, when will I find out?

Died after 4 months in my aquarium. the temperature display jumps between 78.6 and 89.4, 82.4 and 89.6 seconds and triggers a high temperature alarm (if there is no high temperature). There is no obvious guarantee and now the return period is 30 days. Now I have to either buy another one or upgrade to another controller. Hobson's choice. And *that* was a replacement for the first one that lasted maybe 6 months. when will i study

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Write later
