Helps keep my shins free of scars and ulcers

I wear them for box jumping and rope climbing. They protect my shins in case I eat a box and do a lot of rope climbing so I don't burn my shins on the rope. Easy to put on and lightweight. I always air dry them after washing. So far they're holding up well. Even my husband takes them rope climbing.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Fragile

Mandatory for Deadlift

I have been using this product for a few months now. It is really incredible. I can deadlift without scratching my shins, no matter the weight. Last week I forgot my gym clothes and had to wear jeans. With a nice thick layer of denim covering my legs I figured I wouldn't need them. By the end of my first set, my shins were sore. Put them back on and you're done with no problems. Being able to comfortably hold the bar so close to my center of gravity has made a huge difference in the amount of…

Great shin guards in other sports

I really like these shin guards. They have a good thickness in the front and a thinner, more breathable material in the back. A durable elasticated top keeps them in place all day long. The only criticism is the small side zipper in the lower opening. The bottom opening is a bit small and to make this easier there is a small zipper to open it when you put it on and close it again when you're done. The zipper itself can irritate and even open the ankle a bit, the foot hole is still a bit small…

Excellent protection but very warm

I'm tall, I have long legs and when I get up off the floor I often hit my shins with the bar. They barked a lot and I got tired of wiping the blood off the rod after getting up. So I did some searching and found this one. Doesn't matter. I haven't scratched my shin in ages. They offer sufficient protection. They don't interfere with my climbs. In fact, you would never have known they were with you if there wasn't a circumstance. They're pretty warm. I regularly wet them with sweat. As my goal…

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • Requires a socket

I bought these shin guards primarily for climbing and box jumping and they are great for that. What lowers my score is the quality of the zippers. The zippers are small and weak. I've worn these shields maybe 6-8 times and one zipper doesn't work...maybe it's not a big deal...it doesn't seem to interfere with my workout but for $50 for a medium size I want something that will do my basics Standing up to demands... protecting against rope burns and box hits is easy. These shin guards were hand…

Pros
  • quality construction
Cons
  • not reliable

I'll wait and see how the durability will be before giving 5 stars, but it definitely gets a strong 4/5. Durability (N/A) : Too early to tell. I will try to provide an update as soon as I can use them long term. Functionality 4/5: I bought these to protect my shins from rope burns while rope climbing. Before Bear Grips, I wore knee pads around my lower shins to protect them. After about 10 rope climbs I still had a few burns, which then healed in a week. Recently I did the same number of rope…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine
