fits R53 S JCW '05-'06

Identical to Original Equipment parts. It is a pity that this BMW Mini Cooper has serious defects that led to the failure of the release bearing and the almost destruction of the bell housing. I redesigned mine and modified this slave cylinder so that it no longer damages the clutch or bell housing. If you are having problems with the clutch I would suggest replacing the throwout bearing rather than waiting for it to blow up and take everything else with it.

Pros
  • Same form, fit and function as Original Equipment parts
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Looks the same as the original parts

So far so good. There can be no talk of leaks or other failures. Some of these aftermarket slave cylinders seem to give people trouble. Especially with the fatigue and flexing of the plastic slider. Other aftermarket models I've compared have a black plastic slider under the dust cover. This one from Beck Arnley is a khaki color that looks just like the real thing. Maybe the ones with the black push rod are the lowest kind of plastic. Also do your homework on the correct procedure to bleed this

Pros
  • Designed for use in underground vehicles
Cons
  • Available in white only

Perfect for 2004 Mini Cooper S

Perfect for my 2004 R53. If you're having trouble engaging a gear, that could be your problem. If you find a cylinder on your car and notice that it is leaking, this is most likely your problem. The trick to bleeding is to squeeze the clutch cylinder before installation to remove all air from the cylinder. I used a piece of wood with a hole drilled in it and 2 long bolts going through the wood and into the cylinder. ModMINI has a great video that walks you through the whole process. Difficulty…

Pros
  • Quality construction for durability
Cons
  • Zero
