Beck Arnley 158 0784 Temperature Sensor Review

The sensor is located on the driver's side in the hose at the bottom of the radiator. Simply remove the clamp after disconnecting the electrical connection. Be sure to remove the old O-ring. This sensor required a lot more pressure to install the electrical connector before it snapped into place.

So far so good, the temp sensor has been there for weeks and the P0118 code has never been returned. I was surprised that the temperature sensor came with a new o-ring and clip. Beck Arnley is known for having quality aftermarket parts and I would have no hesitation in purchasing anything from their line of products.

This sensor was easily replaced with my 2012 A8L 4.2, the dash sensor now starts with a light on, like an engine it was already warm. However, he never rose above the middle! When I got the new one I was hoping that the occasional sharp slow turns would go away for 5-6 seconds before starting and running. my cheap attempt to fix it. A cold shift for a second will snap the gear into Drive, better in S but still not the same.

This device fits my car very well. Unfortunately, when I tried to install the clip, it broke. It may have been because I was trying to install it too hard, but when I tried to install the original clip it fit perfectly. I've ridden over 3000 miles with this sensor so far with no problems. This did not resolve my code P2181 "Cooling Efficiency" - I think I would have to replace the thermostat for this to go away.
