It's not just because the threads aren't cut all the way through, as another reviewer noted - that wouldn't normally be a problem if the threads were cut to size. But the inner threads are cut too roughly. Will not fit standard ½" NPT. Both ends of the thread touch the end of the thread before tightening. I can't believe they are selling them as they are essentially useless.

This product is inexpensive, claims to be made of stainless steel and does the job. However, the threads (especially the internal ones) are of poor quality. The threads are not smooth as they have a few scratches and small "lumps". They are more visible live and easy to feel with a finger or on other objects.
