This hat is easy to put on and comfortable to wear. The bottom band is soft and comfortable, while the top band has a shower cap-like lining. That means the bottom band isn't as waterproof. All the hair around the neck gets wet, but doesn't get wet. I It protects much better than wearing nothing and its ease of use makes it a product that I like.

Not designed for diving with dry hair but perfect for days when you want to avoid splashing chlorine on your hair while doing water aerobics or swimming in the pool. Also, I can put it on myself, which my post-op shoulders don't allow with the standard tight latex cap! That was my main purchase goal.

This is a two-layer plastic cap. The inner layer is just plastic (think old-fashioned shower cap), all glued together inside. The cap does not stretch or adjust to the head, so it does not let water through when swimming. However, it could potentially work as a shower cap as there isn't enough room in the top of the cap for my hair, and it doesn't work for that either. For us brunettes, nothing in "winter" colors (except black which I hate - how about dark blue or dark green!) but I bought beige although not a flattering color but it really works.
