Attention compatibility!

I'm sure this is a decent product based on all the other reviews but I would caution potential buyers to be aware of the compatibility issues with this product. Not all 4k monitors use the Thunderbolt 3 standard (and 40Gbps speed) and may only be compatible with USB3.1 and DP Alt 10Gbps capabilities. This cable does not state that it supports USB 3.1/10Gb/s. So when I connected it to my monitor with a 16" MacBook Pro and it didn't work, I found that the monitor is only compatible with USB…

Real Thunderbolt 3 cables

Everything went exactly as I hoped. These are real Thunderbolt cables that worked with my audio interface that went to my HP Omen laptop for use as a recording studio setup. I tried other so called Thunderbolt 3 cables but none of them worked or worked for several minutes and lost the signal. These never fell. They haven't disappointed me yet and I can only recommend them.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Charging and Display Port Alt. USB-C

Decided to clarify supported features as some of these reviews have old information about what I suspect is an earlier version of this cable . This cable actually supports 100W power delivery (as advertised on the box and charges my 2016 15" MacBook Pro) and also supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB-C. I use this cable primarily to connect a Dell Inspiron USB-C (no Thunderbolt 3) to a Dell USB-C Monitor (U3419W) and also occasionally to connect my 2016 15" MacBook Pro and Lenovo…

Died after 3 months but under warranty

This cable died after 3 months. I only discovered this after filing a troubleshooting ticket with a computer manufacturer. This is not good. If it didn't help at work, I'd be unemployed. I no longer need Belkin Thunderbolt 3 cables. Update: Belkin is always willing to replace them under warranty. I still don't think it will last and it will be the backup of the backup.

Doesn't work with Displayport via USB-C connection

I didn't realize this when I ordered it but after hours of not getting it to work with my LG 27UK850 monitor (the has a Displayport over USB-C connection) and Blackmagic eGPU Pro, I checked the Belkin packaging and found that Displayport (over USB-C) is not supported. So I suspect it might work if you want to use it for a Thunderbolt 3 storage drive or LG Ultrafine Display (which I assume uses a Thunderbolt 3 connection) but didn't work in my app. Note that USB-C refers to the PHYSICAL design…

  • 2m length for convenience

Worth Every Penny - Cables and Accessories

Products like this are sometimes hard to justify because after all it's not a computer, TV, phone or audio system; it's just a cable. But no, it's not just a cable. This is the gateway to simplifying the rest of your entertainment. Most cables that come with an eGPU are ridiculously short, around a foot in most cases. It's terribly restrictive and even makes basic setup that much harder when you don't have a car next to you. This cable was a real blessing as it allowed me to harness the power…

  • Connectivity to Thunderbolt 3 Hosts and Peripherals

Read carefully. in Computers & Accessories

I have a few modest goals for this review: first, to clarify the 60W power claim mentioned by other reviewers, and second, to detail my experience describe with the cable. Firstly the cable I received claims 100w not 60w. Please see the photos I have uploaded for confirmation. I understand that others have posted photos of their boxes labeled "60W". Obviously they got that. But my most recent purchase says Belkin no longer supplies 60W cables. Instead, as advertised, 100W cables are supplied…
