First of all, Belkin was kind enough to just accept my original and send me a replacement of the same model within a very reasonable time, which is very good for them. However, the real problem lies with the display port. Same port others have been talking about (front right, back left). I was looking for a Thunderbolt 3 dock for my LG Gram and came across this. I've seen others at Revain for a little less but thought I'd pay a little more for the brand name I'd heard before. I was looking for a docking station that could support two 4K monitors at 60Hz each and also power my laptop. This was that I landed on and it works as described. This seems to be a common problem when using dual monitors isn't supported. USB and sound work perfectly. When I plug my webcam into the dock's USB port, the video is horribly garbled. The same applies to the audio jack. If I'm lucky and Windows detects this, the audio will still be disrupted. So many questions how expensive it is.

Before this hub I had a very cheap one. It looked more like an adapter with more ports. It worked fine but I had to assemble it with additional adapters and it didn't have enough ports to support everything. I bought this to add a second monitor and more USB ports to my Mac. While that suits my needs, it also frustrates me unnecessarily. The problem is when my mac goes to sleep the hub is COMPLETELY USELESS. My second monitor goes blank, but open windows stay on it and don't go to a monitor. After some troubleshooting, I found that it was a port on the device (cables, monitors swapped, there was always something connected to port 2). So I decided to upgrade as I work from home full time. It has enough power to run multiple hard drives, HDMI, and a trackball adapter on an iPad Air. I purchased a Belkin Thunderbolt 3 - Plus device to set up dual displays. The display configured for Belkin is HDMI-DP. The right display port closest to the power cable will not work with a passive HDMI-DP cable. I ordered a second unit and only found out about it after I received the second unit and had the same issue. It's all in the title. When this dock works, it works fine... but when it doesn't, it makes my life a nightmare. I'm a web developer using dual monitors for efficiency, and this dock has caused me to waste probably 80 hours of wasted time due to reboots and being overly picky. Too bad I didn't pull the trigger for the new dock sooner. I would resell mine on eBay, but I just can't bring myself to afflict the other person with this nightmare.

Ordered one, one displayport and one of the USB 3 ports next to the ethernet was dead. Ordered a replacement. A replacement came and not only did the same displayport not work, it also didn't charge my laptop. The first charged the laptop via USB-C, the replacement didn't. Tried different cables. It's terrible. I had high expectations so I was happy to unbox it and set it up. The network card does not work in the state of delivery, the right display port (seen from the front) does not work. Only one of the two DisplayPort outputs works with the 2020 MacBook Pro. If a monitor is connected to the second output, your computer will be locked until it is turned off. Works well with only one monitor connected. This device also interferes with any other device connected to my home network when connected via an ethernet cable. When it's connected to my switch, all other devices lose connection. If I turn it off, other devices connect immediately.

I don't have any of the problems others report. With the latest version of Big Sur, my MBA pauses charging from the dock to maintain battery power, just like the OEM charger. Happy with this product.

I can't get the left (rear view) display port to work at all. I've tried swapping out displays, cables, and even computers (both MacBook Pros running Mojave). I tried contacting Belkin support via live chat. The chat directed me to a phone number that is currently getting a lot of calls. I'm waiting for a call back. I think the block is defective. I hope they can replace it. I will update this review once I receive a replacement.

It was not easy for me to find this model as there were few sellers in new condition and the prices were too high. So I chose this one and I have no regrets! Works perfectly. I have no complaints and am grateful for this opportunity from Revain.
