When I put the helmet on MIPS, the inner liner catches on the foam and velcro and pulls the helmet sideways. The only way to pull it off is to take your helmet off and remove the balaclava from whatever it's stuck to. The only way to avoid this is to very gently lower the helmet directly onto your head, and even then, a slight nudge or nudge can snap it back into its stuck position.
