They work but need to be changed.

The Belltech seals worked fine but as the Fords have double center bolts on the spring I had to use a grinder and saw to cut a deeper groove in the seals . Also, the Traversing Bold font included in the kit is not the correct size. Too small. This is the third pair I've bought. Ford has been designing their rear springs this way for several years, so you'd think Belltech would attach the spacers to fit properly without having to alter them. I am very grateful to Belltech for making the pads in…

Pros

Job done with some modifications

I used these to improve the gear angle on my 1972 AMC Javelin. The pins that came with it were too big to fit the holes in my nibs, but I was able to reuse the old pins. This probably wouldn't be possible with thicker pads, but class 2 pads are quite narrow. I had to make some spacers out of an old suspension bushing to allow the pin to protrude through the spring enough when the spacer is in place. There were some threaded hex spacers included in the kit but I have no idea what they are for as

Pros
  • Handsfree kit
Cons
  • Very expensive
