Garbage - don't waste your money!

It's made so cheaply that the screw heads prevent the latch from slipping when you screw the latch to the door. When I tried tightening the mounting screws so that the screw head was lower than the guide, the screw head broke and now I have the broken screw sticking out of the door and I can't get it out and I can't install the slide . I threw it away and bought another device from a different manufacturer.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Little repairability

Slow shutter speed sticky action weak cheap construction

Bullshit! The movements are jerky and sticky. The bolt is 3 inches long but moves less than half an inch, so make sure you don't try to use it through a significant gap. When I tightened the screw the whole mechanism buckled and the screw got stuck (just cheap and not strong enough). The edges and corners were sharp - I had to sand them down to be safe. Dissatisfied with strength, movement, or smoothness of movement. Buy something better.

Easy to install, don't let my 80 lb dog force the door open

Very easy to install, took about 5 minutes. And it works! The door to my bedroom doesn't lock so my dogs and cat easily bump into it and take my bed. This is much easier and cheaper than hanging the door properly. Keeping the kids outside would be ideal if you don't look furry. The only limitation, you can only use it inside. Luckily for me, my bathroom opens up to my room and hallway, so I can lock it and keep them out even when I'm not there. It's small and not particularly noticeable. Win…

Never again on Latches & Bolts

That's it. They looked very nice out of the box, but didn't mount that well. I'm not sure if it was cast or bolts, but after installing the first of the six, I found that the slider wouldn't slide over the bolt head. On closer inspection I'd say they were most likely screws, but then again the back of the slider on three of them was very warped and had to be filed to get past the screw head. Because there was no clearance to the body, five of the six functioned smoothly, cutting corners with…

works perfectly. relatively easy to install.

I managed to install it. it worked well. I messed up a lot during installation. Considering other reviews here, I found the experience relevant to this review. First I fixed the screw. When I checked the roller door, it kept getting cached. makes gliding difficult. Turns out I overtightened the screws. Solving solved the problem a bit. the bolt was screwed to the door. but slipped easily along his way. I thought the latch itself was the problem. I used the longer one. my door was locked. and I…

Doesn't sit flush with either brace

Chinese bullshit. Do I have to say more? Okay, okay, I'll explain. I was expecting the screws to be rubbish, you know, weak Chinese metal where the Philips head comes off easily. But I haven't got there yet. As you can see from the photos there are two different types of arms that can be used to attach a slide. Each type has a design to match the side of the door you intend to install the lock on. The larger earring is designed to attach to the inside of the door frame and work with the latch…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
