Adjust the seal to the correct depth

This is required when the internal vacuum seal in the 4 X4 front axle is behind the wheel bearing on the F-250 and 350 c . The depth of the vacuum seal is critical to the proper operation of automotive hubs.

Pros
  • Made from heavy duty steel for high strength and durability, resists rusting
Cons
  • Can I add something

Great tool in Axle Tools

I bought this for my Ford F259 Seals. I tried installing them without this tool and it didn't help. I smeared some grease on the gasket and mating surface and the gasket clogged up immediately. I didn't have the fungal problem mentioned in other posts.

Pros
  • Installs the seal correctly on the axle shaft and in the steering knuckle.
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Great Buy: Axle Tools

This item did an excellent job installing the seals on the steering shafts and reinstalling the seal in the steering knuckle. The ending is a little cheap/weak as you can get into the middle cave at the end, but click on the ledge and you'll turn to gold. This tool will last you a lifetime if used properly. Beautifully heavy, great workmanship and very well suited for the seal and the short shaft. Would recommend if you can't find a used one elsewhere. I say that because unless you have a fleet

Pros
  • Rugged black oxide coated steel construction for dependable long service life; Identical to OTC 6695
Cons
  • Useless functions
