    Transitional themes: yarn

    The combination of structure and color is very pleasant. I was impressed by the color transitions. It looks like they have different colors tied together with white thread.

    Nice colors, too many knots

    I like the texture and colors of this yarn, but I don't like that it's actually knitted together from individual pieces of yarn rather than one (or two) long pieces of different dyes. I'm afraid that my piece will unravel at one of the many knots.

    Yarn needs work

    Unlike most other Bernat blanket yarns, different colors are glued together. This leaves a harsh and obvious color change. In the end I cut out all the glued pieces and braided the ends. Each color is the same length, which makes the pattern not that attractive. I love Bernat yarn for duvets but the stripes are a terrible product. It is better to buy different colors and change the colors yourself.

    OK, not perfect for knitting and crocheting

    *****EDIT***** I didn't notice that the label on this yarn says: yarn for blanket Bernet STRIPES. sew a blanket for my granddaughter from this yarn, but I am very disappointed. Yarn that appears stained will not "bleed" to the next color, resulting in an unsightly mid-row color break. I will finish my quilt because she looks forward to a new one and will buy more of this yarn to finish it if needed, but I won't bother buying it again.

    Perfect for eco-friendly water balloons!

    I've seen a lot of posts and pins about reusable eco-friendly water balloons. I thought I'd try. I had to play around with the loose pattern a bit to find a way that fits my tight crochet style, but ended up getting a bunch with the K hook and some modifications. I made about 16 balls out of this cake. My 12 year old son thought they might suck but after trying them he called them "epic". They wash well (even with pine needles stuck in them after a big fight) and dry beautifully. Then they soak
