Best Tek Adjustable Out Front Handlebar Review

Perfect for keeping your Garmin low and centered in front. While the hinges allow you to adjust the angle, I really like that they also allow the Garmin to pivot further down in a collision to prevent damage to it. It's great on a mountain bike. Looking forward to putting a light underneath as well. Looks solid and I hope it lasts a long time.

This mount looks and works well but broke on bumpy roads. I put it through heavy use with a Garmin 1030 (large computer) and a Garmin headlamp mounted underneath on a GoPro mount. A tear developed in one side while backpacking at 28 mph on an old, bumpy, patched asphalt road. Even though I removed the Garmin, the headlight was enough to completely crack the mount before I could get home. Don't buy unless you ride on level ground.

Like the other guy who wrote this review, I rode on a slightly bumpy road (not bad) and then what you know, got it I watched my Garmin with a mount detaches from the mount and slides on the move. I lost my several hundred dollar Garmin because that cheap plastic mount broke. Check out a series of photos of another guy where he lost his phone. If possible I would give less than one star. Don't trust your bike computer with this less than $20 junk.

My Garmin fits perfectly. My GoPro mount style lights *NOT* fit. The distance doesn't allow it. I tried installing the lights in the GoPro mount until my rotator cuffs got sore and started wearing away material from my mounts. He comes back. After tightening the screws it seemed to hold the Garmin in place well, although I could still move the hinges (probably good in an accident) - but I don't know how well it would hold mine. Off-road headlights because I couldn't fit them.

I'm always frustrated by FAST well thought out products. Another reviewer mentioned that this is not a universal product and I agree. The company should include black tubular spacers in various lengths (only comes with one fixed length) to accommodate most stems. After turning the bolt in, the knot got stuck on my stem, which would have been an easy fix if they had just provided a longer washer. So now I have to try to route the back with small washers or try to find a longer plastic spacer…

Love this idea and wanted a clean handlebar without multiple mounts for commuting with a flashlight and my Garmin. Every time you ride with a computer and lights installed, the angle adjustment screws loosen. Twice on the same trip I barely caught one when it fell out and saved it. I'll update after trying to use Loctite to secure the screw, but doing it with a thread direction that loosens with every hit is a pretty big oversight. UPDATE: That's a cheap piece of crap. Keep that leash attached:

I bought this to mount my Garmin 1030 and Cycliq Fly12 to the front of a Trek road bike. It mounts relatively easily after removing the bottom grip screws and using the ones that come with the mount. Both units were dead aligned on the bike handlebars exactly how I wanted them and were easy to adjust and remove when needed. BUT PLEASE USE LINES! Having ridden Best Tek equipment mounted for over 1.5 years and clocked over 14,000 miles. the hand mount next to the mounting screws broke (see photo)
