Im impressed

Received the CJO618 today, it came in lovely packaging which I am keeping! I didn't need a small lathe because I have a 13x40 Smithy 3-in-1 combo plus a Grizzly G0796 router, but I wanted one for the summer, I live in the California deserts where the average summer temperature is 110-120. I figured I could take this little lathe home with me in the summer and still machine parts where it's cooler. I k8nda expected this thing to be pretty bad and figured I'd have to work on new parts all winterโ€ฆ

Well. I got a call from the company and asked to write a review. But I don't write commercial reviews in exchange for treats and discounts. So here's what you get for this low price. The Yes lathe is delivered in a beautiful wooden box. But it comes without a cutter and tool holder. You need to get your tool holders yourself. It's a 5/8" square shank and a good one made in the USA will cost you about $70 each. There is no information or specification as to what type of mount you should get. Soโ€ฆ

I didn't have high expectations when buying a Chinese 7x14 mini lathe, but.

**UPDATE June 10, 2019** I received a full refund as promised. showed 7 in stock (now 3) then showed 9 in stock once they had my broken lathe in stock. It's a bit strange. I assume they returned my broken lathe to inventory. I hope someone doesn't get it as new. Stayed three stars for email replies and actual sale confirmation. Buy with due care and a thorough understanding of Revain's return policy. **End of update** I ordered a BestEquip 7x14 mini lathe and it was received as expectedโ€ฆ
