I got it as a gift for my husband's table. He loves to. It won't warm up your cold coffee, but it will keep your warm or hot coffee HOT for hours. We hate drinking from metal mugs and a ceramic mug will keep you warm. We also don't have a perfectly flat bottom on the cups, and that still works. The only drawback: the cable is very short.
