This tool Compatible for Generation IV & V V8 engines. If you're working on a Generation 3 engine you'll need J-42907 instead. The oiling system on the small-block V8 engines now requires the use of a unique oil filter. EN-47971 is installed in place of the spin-on oil filter, and allows existing oil pressure gauge J-21867 or J-21867-A to be attached for engine oil system diagnosis. J-45299 Engine Pre-luber can also be attached to pre-lubricate the engine prior to starting a replacement engine. Fits for Corvette Camaro Malibu and ATS 2006-LATER CORVETTE XLR-V STS-V Gen IV/Gen V V8 LGE Engines.

Efficient pressure adapter - a must-have for engine enthusiasts

When I tried this product, I was amazed by how it functioned seamlessly. It allowed me to accurately measure fuel pressure on any GM vehicle smoothly. Overall, it is a great investment for any GM engine enthusiast.

Good for the price!

Overall this product does what it is supposed to do! It's a pity that the side connector comes with a plug. I found a plug with the same thread but it still flows. As a result, I put rtv on the back to seal it.

Quick and easy oil pressure check!

I work at a Chevrolet dealer, this thing has paid for itself 10 times for a quick and easy diagnosis. The oil pressure sensor is located at the rear of the engine on most V8 engines, opposite the baffle and under the intake manifold, which takes a bit of time to get to. It takes less than 5 minutes to do a quick check and determine my next course of action for diagnosis.
