Safety rails get the job done

These inexpensive railings get the job done. The glue used seems to hold very well and I no longer have scratches on the door frame. I just installed them over clear plastic factory guards and haven't noticed any problems.

Pros
  • Nicely packaged
Cons

I love her. Exactly what I wanted

I love it. That's exactly what I wanted. These railings extend completely beyond the doorstep. Many other railings only protect the top of the windowsill, not the top and bottom. This durable construction with a textured finish makes these shin guards great value for money.

Pros
  • One year trial

Easy to install

Lightweight, easy to install. This hid the existing scratched sill I have on my 2003 TJ. Clean the window sill with alcohol, remove the protective film and stick it on. It is so easy. Caution: The front corner can catch your boots/boot laces when you go out. I can cut this corner.

Bestop should be ashamed!

These fenders fit my 05 TJ terribly. I ordered these because I've had good success with Bestop in the past, but these guards were so terrible I immediately sent them back. I actually spent a little time trying to figure out if I put them on backwards because they didn't fit that well. Then I looked at the reviews and realized I wasn't the only one disappointed. What waste.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No performance

They work well, but my pant legs keep getting caught on them.

I bought these to hide some scratches and scuffs on my TJ's doors. They look good and work well, but I hold onto them when I get out of my truck. The corner catches my pant legs, for whatever reason. The setup is nice and smooth, but I think it's just the corners. My jeep is four inches higher in the front and back, and it's 33 inches, so it's a bit big.

  • Still Happy
Cons
  • Security

Worst Bestop product I have ever bought.

I purchased these Bestop Jeep Wrangler TJ door panels because of the high quality of other Bestop products that I have purchased. The fit was terrible so I sent it back. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Instead, I bought 3M Traction Tape "Safety Walk Indoor/Outdoor Tread" in gray. The 3M product number is 7647NA. It's not like sandpaper. It's more like molded vinyl textured tape with a heavy-duty all-weather adhesive. Works great and looks a lot better. Simply trim and apply gently. The…

Excellent quality good for door guards

Got this black door guard for my 2006 Wrangler Rubicon. The person who owned it before me beat the crap out of it by taking it off-road and in jeep jamborees. Needless to say, the paint on the windowsill at the bottom of the door was almost completely peeling off. The only thing they put on it was what looked like clear tape, and it frayed too. I knew someone who had a similar item on their jeep and it seemed to work pretty well so I decided to give it a try. I think I paid about [.] for it, so

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
