They keep your whiskey cold. I used six of these in a small whiskey glass (not even enough whiskey to cover all the rocks) and the difference in temperature was barely noticeable.

I hate giving bad reviews but these stones just don't work. The drink just won't get cold. I can't say more. It was a colossal waste of money. If you have any advice please let me know. Surprised to see such good reviews.

it seems that this will work. But that's not the case. I left them in the freezer for a day and then put all nine in a glass of water. It had almost no effect. I could tell it was a little lower than room temperature. That's all? What a waste of money. Don't send them back.

I returned this product because my drink contained stone particles when I used it. I wanted this product to have great reviews so I ordered it. I'm not sure why the stone leaves particles when used or if I received a bad batch.

Many reviews here say it works. However, most of them are not written by a person who actually drinks whiskey. I've tried multiple stones in the same whiskey and they do little to lower the temperature. It seems like a trick. Not too expensive but I wouldn't spend the money.

later So here's the deal. They won't make your drink as cold as ice. Not even close, even if kept in the freezer. They are cold outside but obviously cannot stand the cold. But I think that's on purpose? I heard (unfortunately after buying it) that real whiskey drinkers don't drink it cold. Barely cool. I do not know. For us it was a waste of money.

I always read 1 star reviews before deciding to rate something I like; The reason is that I can understand what others don't like and compare whether I agree or not. Coolers are made of sandstone, a fairly light, porous rock. So it cools down quickly, stays cold and doesn't dilute your drink. If you expect to last all night, this isn't going to happen. I bought these to prevent the whiskey from being diluted with regular ice cubes. I received them very quickly, put them in a fancy bag and froze them for 2 1/2 days.
