This is a fantastic Fantasy Cross Stitch Pattern Book by Joan Elliott. It's a good deal to get so many designs in one book. Not only are there two handfuls of larger designs, but there are also many smaller designs to go along with them. What a fantastic range of designs! As an avid seamstress and heather, I really appreciate the patterns in this book. They range from nice, big projects like the phoenix and mother moon, to smaller projects if you want to make gifts or just don't have time to commit long term (I plan to use the phoenix feather design to make pillowcases ). My only minor feminist gripe is that there is a huge, complicated part of the wizard, but no other wizard/witch than a cute kitchen witch. I would love to see

I bought one for myself and one for a friend when I saw mine. Joan Elliot is an artist who draws the most beautiful faces in cross stitch. I love "Mother Moon" so much that I immediately bought all of Kreinik's ethereal metallic yarns, beads and fabrics to start sewing! The colors used to create her designs really come into their own when you put all the 'ingredients' together. Once you start you will find that you are creating a goddess!
