A wonderful product, its nice to use.

Very good headphones. The quality of materials and assembly is beyond praise. Nothing presses or presses. You can work for several hours in a row and not feel tired at all. A must have for a home studio if funds allow. Be prepared for the fact that by starting to mix in them, you will greatly raise your professional level and your new works will noticeably add quality. In general, if you decide to upgrade your home studio and are looking for new opening headphones for mixing, then I can safely…

    Pros
    • These are already my second headphones from this manufacturer, before that I had already worked in closed Beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRO for a couple of years and was very pleased with them. A bit of history. When I first put on the closed Beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRO after my favorite Audiotecnica ATH-M50X, I had the feeling that I used to listen to music in a hat, and then suddenly I took it off . I heard such transparency and detail of the sound that I got dizzy from the habit. Everything was so detailed and crystal clear. And when, after a couple of years, I decided to expand my set of devices for my home studio and wanted to buy myself open headphones for mixing, I already knew that it would be Baers again. And so I bought them. Open headphones Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO. All the same unsurpassed sound quality and stage detail, like their closed brothers 1770 PRO. It may seem to someone that their tops stick out too much, but I quickly got used to this feature of theirs and it doesn’t bother me. In addition, I use the Realphones correction plug-in with headphones and it's just an explosive mixture - with it, the mixing process becomes as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It is possible that for someone they will seem expensive, but believe me, they work off every spent on them. After all, this is not a purchase for one year, but for many many years to come. Having bought them, you will close the issue of control and information for yourself for a long time. I, too, often denied myself earlier and said - "it's expensive, maybe later," but over time I realized that later it might not be, and the proverb "the miser pays twice" acquired its true meaning with age. In the endless race of the modern world, you should not forget about yourself, and at least occasionally indulge yourself with truly high-quality things, which will then give you positive emotions and delight you for many years to come.
    Cons
    • For me they are not. The only thing is that it is not very convenient to change the ear pads. But I put them on balance once and I don’t take them off anymore, they suit me 100%.

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

Headphones are very well made, almost all metal, leather, velor, high quality build and parts. I chose them not purposefully, I came for discounts and aimed at T1 2gen, T5p 2gen, at the same time I listened on the recommendation of DENON and a small series of analogues in the budget of 50-60 thousand. The consultant, seeing my doubt, suggested this model and I don’t understand why buy, for example, T1 when there is this? I listen to them on a computer with a Sound Blaster G6 and in…

    Pros
    • Beautiful detailed sound, you can hear every little thing, just amazing. Neutral in sound, just as much bass as needed, but perhaps there is a moment with highs.
    Cons
    • Recordings with pronounced highs personally annoy me, not comfortable.

250 Ohm is still not always convenient, especially when you want to work on the couch with a laptop without connecting an audio interface. But there are no options here), except to buy something additionally simpler . Some pros: High detail, comfortable. Made very well, it is pleasant to take in hands. Its cons: The top is indeed a little ringy, but I use dSoniq so it's not a problem at all. The plug-in has a profile for these ears, which evens out the frequency response.

I bought it for my home studio to replace the DT-990, which I had used for 6 years before. The result is rather ambiguous. The new ears don't have the same low mid-rise as the DT-990 and have a smaller stage, so the sound feels thin at first. But after getting used to it, it is no longer possible to listen to the old DT-990s, they mumble too noticeably. There are 2 pairs of overlays included: "balanced" ones emphasize sub-bass and lower mids (although the sound is still not the same as in…

    Pros
    • comfortable and reliable design, detail, high-quality sound on well-mixed recordings
    Cons
    • emphasize recording flaws (sibilants, extraneous noise), too harsh sound

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

Here is my subjective cost estimate of sound based on open models with which I am well acquainted: 1. Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro is currently my favorite of the available ones, so we take its market price of 60as a starting point. (although throwing out the case and additional ear pads - we get an objective 50 thousand). 2. Beyerdynamic DT 990 (250 Ohm) - number two on the list - I hear for 35 and despite the fact that they are sold for 14,000, comments are superfluous. 3. Sennheiser HD 650…

    Pros
    • There are things that, when you take it in your hands, you understand that this is a THING (expensive, textured, reliable). This is exactly how the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro feels. There are very few of these products on the market today. Sound and everything else is subjective. Personally, I fell in love with Beyerdynamic's proprietary sound delivery, so this item is on the merits.
    Cons
    • The price to pay for feeling the THING is comfort. The metal has a lot of weight, so you can’t forget that these headphones won’t work on your head. These ears NEED a good DESK amp! (whistles like FiiO K3, Creative Super X-Fi Amp and the like will NOT work) Price, but again, what to compare with (more on that in the comments).

    Overall good, but expected more.

The sound in these headphones is modeled in such a way that the listener can hear all the features of the reproduced material. Imagine a microscope - yes, it is very interesting to look at something small in it, but it is also very painful to look through it at the sun. If on live recordings with minimal processing, such as: symphony concerts, vocals, the sound becomes more expressive, but, unfortunately, not natural, then when listening to recordings that have undergone studio processing, you…

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

I chose headphones to connect to a digital piano and the sound was of the highest quality and volume. In the store I compared it with sennheiser hd605, listening to classical music, the difference is noticeable, namely the sound itself is really voluminous, i. E. you feel that the sound is not in your headphones, but the sound comes from somewhere further away, as if you are sitting and listening to real instruments at a concert (this is of course all subjective, but I have such feelings). The…

Too expensive for the sound quality.

Sounds amazing, but not amazing enough for its ridiculous price. It's closed so one can argue about comfort. Buying anything under $500 is more than enough.
