WARNING ! DO NOT BUY

First of all this product failed 1/3 of its rating. Yes, he collapsed at £2,100 from his £6,000 rating. I used two of these side by side. Both failed. At the same time, the sling bar broke. There is a label on the handle stating the maximum load capacity is 4000lbs, tested to 6000lbs. Technically it should be marked as a 2 ton jack. False advertising. The mechanical levers are really bad too. At 2100 pounds it took all of my 185 pounds to lower the lever.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Pulls out stubborn poles (and stumps?)

Bought this specifically after watching a couple YouTube videos of people pulling out poles and stumps in gardens. I used mine to pull out the three remaining tubular steel fence posts, each set in 18" x 12" concrete. The jack slid them out like ice cubes from a tray. Each time it took longer to install the jack than to hang the bars. I have several stumps that I would like to try as well. And my wife works as a contractor and often has to remove poles and stumps on the job - I think this will…

Product didn't last long

Have someone contact me. I do not leave negative comments as I have been buying Revain for many years and I always try to resolve any issues directly with the seller, however I do not know how to contact this particular seller as the item is no longer available. Anyway, my problem is that shortly after purchasing this product, the handle broke while trying to erect a fence post. I love the product and would like to see if I can replace the handle or the entire product. Have someone contact me…

Casting/Metallurgy - Worst Thing I've Ever Seen

Don't Buy That Jack! Spend an extra $20 and get a real high-lift jack. The plug broke the first time I used it. The cotter pin holding the main pin was bent, not allowing the jack to lower backwards. I'm stuck in the air with my car. Had to use a real jack to knock out this POS. Casting/metallurgy is the worst I have ever seen. The only reason this thing has good reviews is because all the jeep guys who put it on their jeeps say it looks good. If you install it as a paperweight, buy it. If you…

Bottom Barrel Quality

You know how some factories in China have learned, retooled and are making pretty decent products these days? Some have anyway. Where plastic and rubber don't outgas for the next 5 years or the metal parts are well formed and machined? Well, this product was not made in any of those factories. Parts are poorly formed and poorly fitted under a thick coat of super cheap paint. I wouldn't trust this jack. I think you get what you pay for. I was looking to buy two Farmjacks to build a new house on…

Pros

Cons

Terrible customer service

Let me start by saying that I used this to take out concrete fence posts. It worked great for the first 4 posts. I thought this was the best product ever. Then, when I got to my last post, the standard steel adjustment columns bent badly. Look at the attached picture and you can see how curved it is. Also, the reversible locking became very dangerous after the second pole was removed. I contacted Thorin directly and spoke to a customer service rep who then referred me to their executives. Her…

Do not buy! for lifts, jacks, and jacks

I chose this to save a few bucks over Hi-Lift and to save a trip to Harbor Freights. I've been cutting down some bushes and need this to get small to medium sized stumps out. I built a tripod to stabilize it. Thanks to the people who posted the details. It worked great for the first 3 residual limbs! Removing the 4th bushing will bend the bushing, these are designed for the 3rd digit. I had a few other things to do so I figured I could handle that as I didn't want to wait for another weekend…

And not worth the money.

I bought this Hello Jack to remove fence posts in my garden. At first glance this jack looks great, I like the red powercoat if that's the case and the jack itself looks very solid. Well here are my observations on the one I bought. When the setting is low, the lever will not lift a load. There are many slip-ups. It doesn't seem to take the load even with the lever all the way down. And above all, it is difficult to lift the load, in my case, when the lever is in a vertical position, it does…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

  • Definitely a bad product
