I will never use another Helicoil again. It is Time Sert.

I will never use another spool again. Time-Sert is much cleaner, even after I plugged the hole (with a broken spool) and had to increase the size.

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Used them to fix several bolt holes in the camshaft cover.

Used them to repair several cam cover bolt holes on an old Kawasaki a few years ago after breaking the original threads and fixing the spool (I blamed my stubbornness and wrong torque). No problems so far and I'm planning to use Time-Sert to fix a broken drain plug (it was the previous owner this time).

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • too dull

Saved my engine! Best in Metric Bushings & Kits

I had 2 bolt holes on the aluminum head for the timing chain tensioner that were dirty or off round. I've used Permacol before, which didn't last long. This product worked as advertised to save me the hassle of pulling out the motor head and taking it to the machine for repair. The kit includes everything you need to install the Bigsert, except for the faucet handle. I just used a vise.

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Hard to tell

I accidentally drilled my last hole in a scrapped bike.

Accidentally drilled the last hole on a scrapped bike, a bit too big. At first I bought a regular set of spiral coils, but the larger hole caused oil to leak out of the stub and I couldn't tighten the screw properly. This kit, as designed, does not allow oil to seep further where the large kit mates with the crankcase. The instructions say to lubricate the insertion tool before inserting the large certificate, which I think is a must. I took this a step further and applied oil resistant…

Pros
  • also understandable for the old ones
Cons
  • A few little things
