Gas leaks all over my bike!

I bought this in August for a 1956 Harley. I haven't installed it to date and it leaked horribly. Wanted to go back but too late. This is my second failed Revain fuel filter.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Works great on my Shovelhead

I expect this to work equally well on almost any bike as long as you get the correct tube size and make sure the flow is in the right direction. Looks nice, also optically.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Some minor quibbles

Suitable for filters

Working well. This is the second one I bought because I broke the glass. Definitely prevents very small particles from getting into my carbs. I have a '79 BMW R45 and with a few modifications to shorten the fuel lines it fits. I'll buy again when the time comes.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Unreliable

Not the stated size.

If you have a 1/4" ID gas line this will work fine. It is advertised as 5/16 but the ID at the inlet and outlet is 1/4 and it will restrict your gas flow. I have a 5/16 line that splits into 4 carbs in my Honda VFR750 this product is too small for this line if you have something smaller this is a great product but this will be the bottleneck for 5/16 ID- be gas lines.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • No

The sieve is not a filter. Make sure it's tight.

Not a very good product. First, it's a strainer, not a filter. When I received it, mine was hand tightened and while tightening, part of the filter element inside came loose. It has a chance, it seems pretty strong. It's a good product, but be aware of what you're buying (a screen, not a pleated filter) and quality control must be observed or I would have a dangerous fuel leak.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Leaks, leaks, leaks.

. I had one of these installed for about a year and then it started pouring just as I opened the fuel tank. I had a backup because I ordered two and installed a new one. This lasted a week. I was taking a ride and driving a block when I saw gas pouring out of my tailpipe. I went home immediately. I tried tightening the filter but when I open the fuel line only petrol comes out. NEVER AGAIN WITH THESE FILTERS.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers.
Cons
  • Hard to say.
