The jeep rocked and was soft. This brought him back to a solid ride rather than a hard one. LJ Stock 2005 and it rides much better than the shocks that were on it and blew.

97 TJ installation 11/27/2019. original dampers. Queen of the garage, so no rusty bolts. I sawed off the front struts on the hub, mastered quickly. The ride is perfect, I don't have a lift - all stock suspension. At the same time, the steering stabilizer was replaced. Blue rubber and gold/brass look great. Now the ride is smooth and responsive. No regret.

I used these on a 2006 Jeep TJ with 32" tires and a 2" lift. I have used twin tube shock absorbers in the past and experienced very poor highway performance. With these new monotubes, the ride is completely DIFFERENT in a different way. Handling is much more like a 'car' (although it's a Wrangler). I found it straightened out quickly after hitting a speed bump or pothole. They are well made and the only downside is that I wish I had switched to them sooner!

My Jeep TJ has only done about 85,000 miles but I decided it was time to change the dampers. I put them on and probably expected more. They're comparable to OEM shocks - maybe a little more responsive over small bumps in the road, but about as bumpy and wobbly as the stock when the road gets really bumpy.
