Amazing ride quality

I wish I had bought these years ago. My 2006 Silverado 2500hd has a Rancho raise and I run 35" tires. I've had basic Rancho shocks that came with a lift on my truck for the last 7-8 years and they eventually broke down. These shocks make my truck handle better than the ranchos ever did. As long as I serve from them for a few years, I will be happy.

Excellent quality, a bit soft in my opinion

Installation is quite easy. The ride feels so much better than my blown Ranchero shocks that I had on a Chevy 2500 Duramax. For me they are still soft. It feels like driving a boat. I'll tighten the torsion wrenches to see if they tighten at all, but you might like the feel. The quality is good, but has lasted for more than a year without any complaints.

  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Compatibility

The original dampers were pretty bad, the tires started to wear out.

I used these to replace old worn out shocks on my '05 Silverado 2500HD. It has a height of 6 inches. The initial dampers were pretty bad, the tires started to wear out. These shock absorbers significantly improved smoothness. I still have to change tires so it's a bit bumpy, but even with worn shell tires it still rides 100% better than before.

Pros
  • Shocks, Struts and Suspension
Cons
  • Useless Parts

Torsion bar suspension is annoying.

I have a Chevrolet 3500HD 4x4 Dual with 4" lift kit. Twist beam suspension sucks. ; What is it. Those Bilsteins are cool. This Duramax is pretty damn heavy and those shocks handle the torsion bar rebound pretty well. I like her. I researched many different brands before I switched to Bilstein. I guess time will tell.

Pros

Cons
  • Lightly dented

Was between Rancho 9000XL shocks or these. My 2500HD Duramax already had Rancho 9000XL shocks with 97,000 miles on it and I ended up replacing them with Bilstein shocks and it handles much better than it ever has on the Rancho. They don't adjust for stiffness, but they are a much better quality shock and will not revert to a rancho or twin-tube shock. My truck's ride height is exactly the same as before and the front rattle is gone once my shocks work again. Both of my rear Rancho shocks were…
