I should have changed the shock absorbers earlier.

Wow, what a difference in driving. My 2004 Chevy Express had stock front shocks until last month. If I had known many years ago what I know now, I would have bought these beauties many years ago. I would say they are easy to do but I was just watching and it was at a car dealership so we had a car lift. I had to burn the old bolts, but my professional mechanic Mike made both bolts in under an hour. Lifetime guarantee, so if it breaks down or has an accident, I'll keep it!

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • For the elderly

2006 Four Winds 5000 on Chevy Chasis - WORKS GREAT!

We've finally decided to upgrade our shocks. Our RV only has 27,000 miles, but the serial shocks are terrible. It should be illegal for them to sell these big cars with such bad factory suspension. What we didn't understand was the difference they make. Yesterday I decided to install the front shock absorbers and did it myself. It was really easy and I was able to install each site in about 30 minutes. If you're mechanically inclined enough, save some money and do it yourself. We haven't done…

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Turned a month old ride in a converted GMC van from the worst ride I've ever had into an absolute dream. Zero sharpness, in contrast to my almost current German car. I wonder how GM got the suspension geometry so "correct" and then threw a wrench in the job with the worst imaginable shocks. (especially front) Usually GM products are great, but not with OEM shocks. The wonder of these Bilsteins is that they offer perfect cushioning while providing an incredibly comfortable ride. Exactly 2 hours…

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • Not sure

Fantastic! Exactly what my RV needs!

I have a 2013 Chevrolet Express 4500 Class C (RV) motorhome. It's got 90,000 on the odometer and the front end will bounce like crazy and porpoises jump down the freeway. I did a lot of research and honestly found very little about solving the problem. There is a heavy duty/commercial chassis shop near me that deals in supplies, tractors/trailers/trailers and vans. When I spoke to them, they said the shocks wouldn't make a difference and we needed to "add a sheet metal" to the rear to put more…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
