Bilstein shock absorber 5100

High quality product for 4x4 vehicles. Installed with a 2 inch adjustment. Handling hasn't changed much with 38 PSI tires. The lift will correctly level the truck when the Warn winch and mesh guard are installed.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • old

Great upgrade fits spares

Just installed them today and oh my god they are so much better than the Monroe quick release struts I just removed. Installed on a 2009 Ford F150 RWD. About 2 weeks ago I replaced the original frames with Monroes and wasn't very happy with it. Not only do they look amazing, but they are so smooth now. I definitely recommend these shelves!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Error

They are best faulted in spare parts

bought it on March 6th. I am writing this review on October 25th of the same year in 6 months time. NO OFFROAD USE all over town the innards, sent it straight to Bilstein to try and get some sort of warranty on it and nothing happened so I was left with a "quality" shock which is utterly useless. Shock absorber brand change on my truck starting tomorrow.

Pros
  • . This is amazing
Cons
  • updates

Total disappointment

With a name and reputation like Bilstein, I was sorely disappointed when one of my 5100s broke. I only bought it to line up the rake on my stock 2wD F150 and have never really ridden off-road. I drive to my house on bumpy gravel roads, but nothing like a true "off-road" level of hard driving. I figured they would be relatively "untested" on my roads. I switched to another brand today and will no longer make Bilstein! Very confused.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good
