Fits my 2007 Tundra on shocks

Replaced stock Toyota shocks leaking after 250,000 miles. Very happy with the Bilsteins. Not too difficult to install. When the front goes, it's a different story.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Impressively! in spare parts

This is amazing! I'm not a mechanic but it was very easy for me to install even with my limited tools and resources. I did it myself in less than 2 hours. The handling of my truck has greatly improved. Very happy with the product.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Only available in white

Will not fit vehicles

As described, direct replacement for 2008 Toyota Tundra should be original equipment! The stem is too long and has a bushing that bolts onto the stem making it too big to accommodate the stock washers and grommets.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Not sure

It took longer to remove the tires than to install the shocks

My husband put these shocks on our 2010 Tundra and I immediately noticed a difference in handling but the most noticeable difference was the ride with our 29 foot trailer tow, a big difference in the journey.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Long

Great shock absorber replacement!

Excellent shock replacement for my Tundra 07 with 125,000 miles. Drives like a new car again and is much "harder". The shocks are great, but you should use Bilstein bushings or a similar size. Your stock Toyotas won't work, and if you had to use a flashlight to get the old ones off, your truck will be stuck in the garage while you wait for those jacks. ORDER BUSHINGS!

Pros
  • Tested for one year
Cons
  • No

Great shock, perfect fit.

I don't know why anyone had trouble fitting. They were OEM identical to my 2008 Tundra. The thread size was different so use the new locknut that comes with the kit. I added new mounts (Gabriel's Hanging Mount 143340) but only used one of the two new rubber pieces (I left the old one on top) so I didn't have to squeeze them together when mounting. Looks good, very easy to put on.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great shocks, struts and suspension

I have a 2014 Tundra SR5 TRD Offroad 4x4 and these were the ones that came with the truck. They were so good and lasted so long that I put them back on. very satisfied. I don't have it installed (doesn't work for me). Took her to a trusted mechanic. PS - you will need a bushing kit for each of the rear shocks. You must get them from the dealer as this is a dealer part (not a Bilstein part). My Toyota dealer got them in a day and the rubber bushings/washers weren't cheap at $65 a side.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Some imperfections

* * High quality. Delivers an annoying BREAKDOWN JOURNEY though.

It's hard to say how the new shock absorbers/struts will affect my ride. So I settled on a quality OEM replacement with a better name, assuming I would have the best possible driving experience with superior control margin. But it didn't work for me. Billstein has high quality but they are not matched to my taste on my tundra 2011 sr5 double cab 4wd. These Bilsteins were overly controlling and delivered an annoying CONTINUOUS RIDE. I know it's PU, but my old Toyota Nitrogen OEM shocks provided…

Pros
  • Looks great
Cons
  • Something's wrong
