Solid mobile holder for CB radios

Got 4 stars. Installed a Firestik Fire Ring coaxial cable antenna system that required more headroom than the included mounting bracket. A Dremel tool was used to enlarge the side cable port to accommodate the system. Ideally mounted on the tailgate of an SUV tailgate. Looks good. would recommend.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Security

Still spins when tightened

I wish I could read more negative reviews :/ The mount still spins when the screw is fully tightened as everyone says. I figured I just didn't tighten it tight enough so today I used my free time to tighten it. I only removed the screw with the hex wrench that came with the bracket! Unfortunately, my return window only ended last week.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Functionality

Mounts are designed to hold things vertical and tight, it's not. Even when he's fully dressed, he still spins. Save your time and nerves by buying something else. However, if disappointment is what you're looking for then by all means buy this and you won't be disappointed with all its shortcomings.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things

The attachment still spins when fully tightened

It was exciting as this attachment only arrived an hour ago. I attached it to the edge of the hatch. All angles adjusted and bolts tightened. Everything looked great. Before I add my antenna. I rotated it by hand to make sure it was secure and facing the section where the antenna would attach. When I set up my antenna and took a test drive, my antenna fell sideways and broke off a few blocks from my house. This mount looks good at first glance, but I don't in good faith recommend it. We have…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Take the chance and try it yourself.

I'll admit I'm a big review reader, but you can't always believe what you read and sometimes you just have to take a risk. So I have a 2020 Tacoma and bought an antenna cover bracket. from another company. It was nice because my dual band ham radio antenna looked almost like a standard antenna. However, the base of the antenna was almost two inches below the hood line and caused some immediate grounding problems. My initial SWR test showed 9:1 using a high quality, low loss cable with a fancy…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
